Terrapalooza to feature Gardens, From Cities Above, Plans, more this Friday in Terre Haute

This upcoming Friday, Terrapalooza is taking over downtown Terre Haute, complete with two stages of non-stop live performances and even more entertainment on the acoustic rooftop. The event, kicking off at 4:00 p.m. and wrapping up at 10:00 p.m., will take place along Wabash Avenue, Terre Haute’s main road.

The Terradise stage will be located on 6th St., the second stage will be placed along 7th St. and the acoustic rooftop will be set up on top of a parking garage within the downtown area.

Admission to the two stages will be completely free. However, the acoustic rooftop will cost $5 or $3 with presentation of a student ID.

“[Terrapalooza] will show the Terre Haute community what kind of music we have in the area. I’ve talked to people that think all of our shows are metalcore or that that there isn’t something that they would like. Terrapolooza is a good representation of all the different genres and styles of music we have come play,” said Jacob Osborn, show promoter and drummer of Riot Shield. “It’ll also be a great chance for people who wouldn’t normally go to shows to see these acts for free and maybe push them to want to come check out more events in the future.”

Terrapalooza’s two stages will feature one talented band after another from start to finish, including Gardens, From Cities Above, Plans, Rest Assured, Riot Shield, Grandiose, Better Off Blind, Brave Souls and many more. The acoustic rooftop will showcase several unplugged musicians, such as Cody Almond and Edington. The full schedule can be read below.

“There’s literally music for everyone from pop-punk to punk to metal to jam bands to hip-hop and indie to dad rock,” said Osborn.

Show presenters Terradise Productions and First Fridays are teaming up with Team Skylar, a cause with the goal to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer, to donate all water sales at the acoustic rooftop to the cause. Team Skylar will be accepting donations during the event as well.

“Good music, good cause, good weather, 24 bands for free and an awesome acoustic rooftop performance later in the evening. It should be an all around awesome time.”
