Capitol Offense release punishing new single, “Captive”

Decatur, Illinois’ Capitol Offense have released a new song, titled “Captive,” featuring Bryan Prosser of The JïG. BRP is excited to offer an exclusive premiere of the music video for “Captive” below, filmed by EasterDaily (Errick Easterday).

The video features footage from live performances, including the band’s tour with War Prayer last month. “Captive” first enthralls listeners with shredding guitar, followed by fierce vocals, relentless bass, and blistering drums. Just when it can’t get any heavier, a piercing guitar solo takes over, leading into a crowd-killing breakdown.

Vocalist Tyler Brown explains: “Corruption and hatred are things that have played a huge role in this past political year and this song just tackles all my feelings, frustrations and distrust with everything that’s taking place around us right now. We got a chance to work with Errick Easterday (EasterDaily) for our video, and get one of my best friends Bryan Prosser from The JïG on a guest spot. We’ve been sitting on this song for sometime now, and we couldn’t be more stoked to finally get to show everyone a bit of what we’ve been working on these last few months.”

Capitol Offense will release two new songs on Moral Dissension, the band’s split with Bruise that is scheduled to drop in March 2017. Following the release, Capitol Offense will hit the road with Bruise for a Midwest run. More details to be released soon.
